Looks good so far. Can't wait for it. They seem to have added a ton of stuff to the game.

Man I just spend the last 4 hours playing it....really liking the Lost. I didnt think I would, but its kinda super fun to see a pod of Aliens get overrun by zombies hahaha.
Oh I didn't realize it was already out.
Just came out today... Can't wait to clock some time on it
Well I'll be adding that to steam once I get home. It looks like they added so much, is it 39.99 or 59.99?
39.99 I believe.
nice
30 gig download... It's not fast
Yikes, but lots of new stuff.
Probably a complete rewrite of everything... wonder if this will break all of the mods
How long until we get Long War on top of it?
That moment when you can't wait to get home from your vacation to get to your computer to play more XCOM...
::rubs hands together in anticipation::
Confido Vigilo. The UI is different upon logging into the launcher. It's more similar to XCom 1's enemy within. Select which one you want to play. Validates the 30g download, it seems like it's a separate, standaloneish game rather than a true content patch, and allows both to be played independently with their own sets of mods, saves, etc. Sadly, that's probably as much as I'll get to play today, just seeing the browser and opening.
Apparently there's also now a challenge mode to compete for score/etc... everyone given the same troops/seed/whatnot, and competing. Interesting concept.
Going to have to wait until after work to give it a shot. =(
Ok... this is awesome... It's been a long time since I've done tutorial stuff in XCom 2, but it looks like a complete overhaul of the game thus far. Leave it to Praxis to do an amazing job overhauling a complete game on just a 'DLC'
Btw... the XCom board game is fucking awesome as well... we just picked up the expansion to that this week, and should be playing it soon... It requires a laptop/tablet to play to handle the randomness... it's super fast and fun.
So far I am really enjoying it. The Lost so far are just annoying but I know they are going to be a pain once the aliens get sprinkled in with them. Only about 2-3 hrs in (4 missions?) but it does feel like a new game.
@whirlin
I enjoyed the board game as well. We found a phone was big enough though.
One thing is that I wished I paid more attention to the first people I bonded together. I have a bond that I don't really want to have together now.
@sabotage We started winning fairly consistently on the hardest difficulty, and we had to put the board game down for a while... It's super ridiculously awesome intense... Really one of my favorites... it forces turns to be taken ridiculously quickly, evaluated on how quickly you do it, and everyone is trying to manage multiple aspects of a complex command system simultaneously... Honestly, if you're a fan of XCom, you should absolutely pick up the board game... but requires 4 people to play. So... have at least three friends?
@whirlin Never heard of it before now. I'll have to check it out.
@whirlin
You can play with fewer if you need to. We always played with 3
Sharpshooter OP vs The Lost.
